Analisa Nazareno sometimes confuses people with her Spanish surname and her Asian appearance. Born in the Philippines -- one of many Spanish colonies for four centuries -- she then moved with her parents at age four to Los Angeles, California. Raised in a predominantly Latino-immigrant neighborhood, Analisa speaks Spanish with a Mexican accent and English with an American accent.
She has enjoyed seeing the rest of the United States through the privileged position of a journalist, having worked at The Philadelphia Inquirer, the San Antonio Express-News and The Miami Herald as a reporter and writer.
She lives in San Antonio, Texas with her husband and two children.
