Analisa Nazareno Born in the Philippines, Analisa immigrated to Southern California with her parents at the age of four years. In the predominantly Latino-immigrant community near Los Angeles, where she grew up, Analisa learned to speak English while watching reruns of the "Sound of Music" with her mother, and she learned to speak Spanish from the parents of her childhood friends.
Analisa has enjoyed seeing the rest of the United States through the privileged position of a journalist, having worked at The Philadelphia Inquirer, the San Antonio Express-News and The Miami Herald as a reporter and writer.

She lives in San Antonio, Texas with her husband and two children.
